Young and old alike learn how to identify and use native and non-native herbs for medicinal purposes studying with trained herbalists at the Two Rivers Center. Participants keep herb journals, make herbal salves, balms and teas and take home their own first aid kits. Other activities include:

  • offering bags
  • dream pillows
  • compresses
  • bath bags
  • flower essences
  • mandalas
  • oil infusions
  • prayer sticks
  • bath bags
  • herbarium books
  • herb ID walks

The Gardens for Learning Summer Day Camp offers children an opportunity to deepen their connection to the Earth through hands-on experiential activities such as:

  • Organic Gardening
  • Cooking and Eating Delicious and Healthy Meals
  • Helping Out on a Working Farm
  • Making Herbal Products
  • Learning to Identify Wild and Cultivated Plants
  • Exploring Farm, Meadow, and Woods Ecosystems
  • Art, Poetry, Song, and Creative Movement
